libgtest-dev software package provides Googles framework for writing C++ tests - header files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgtest-dev
libgtest-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgtest-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgtest-dev *
You will get with libgtest-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
